Vanessa Hudgens totally nailed it! She was great. I missed the first hour but I thought the rest was very good. The ending was great.

I agree, thought overall it was awesome. Cast was great. Loved the ending, such amazing energy. Looked like such a fun thing to be a part of! Juliana and Vanessa were great! They all were really! Great chemistry. Can't believe Jan Brady lol!

I had no desire to watch.
But after hearing everyone rave about it I wish I DVR'd it!
I'm sure they'll replay it. Especially if the ratings were high.

Am I the only one who was disappointed? I mean there were some great parts and I did love the ending. I thought Vanessa Hudgens did great but I was not impressed with most of it. I think my hopes were just too high for it and I compared it to the original too much. I guess I feel like nothing will beat the original.
ETA: my 5 year old watched most of it with me and she did love it. I am going to introduce her to the original this weekend.

I actually really liked it. I put it on thinking I was only going to watch a little bit but then I eneded up watching the whole thing. I thought it was so much better than those other live shows NBC did like Peter Pan and Sound of Music.

This exactly. I thought the others were pretty bad so didn't have much expectations. Really enjoyed it and thought the cast did a great job.

i kept waiting for someone to screw up LOL i was surprised how much i loved Juliana in it! And Danny was awesome! I didn't realize he was in the movie Les Mes! And Vanessa played a great Rizzo. Kudos to her for going on after her dad died. The guy who played Doody was my favorite! What a voice!
It was a mix between the play and the movie...so that's why things looked a little different.

I thought it was great.
I didn't think I was going to like it as much as I did.
Going back to my high school days the senior class did Grease and the underclass got to help out with scenery and make up.
so I was feeling that excitement of it being live and what all the hard work you do for the show and then it's over.
The quick costume changes during Greased Lightening... I kept rewinding and watching how quick they did that. And then got back into their clothes.
Seeing the original frenchie was awesome.

I loved it! I watched Grease growing up probably once a week. I have many great memories and my parents took us to see it on Broadway when I was about 10-12 years old and loved it. I thought Julianne did WAY better then I ever thought she would do. The guy who played Doody was very talented and I loved the girl who played Jan, you could tell she loved what she was doing.

I do the same! Vanessa Hudgens also came very close to losing a booby at the end when they all ran out of the golf cart

Grease is probably my all time favorite movie and being able to share this show on TV with my 7 year old DD was so much fun! I know I am in the minority, but as much as I loved Vanessa Hudgens's bravery for doing the show last night, I felt like she was miscast. Rizzo is a bad ass, and I felt like she was a little too sweet. She kept twirling her tongue around to make her seem more edgy I guess, but I didn't love her in the role. My DD is a huge High School Musical fan, so she was so thrilled to see her.

I watched it with my 12 yo DD. 10 yo wasn't that interested. I've watched the movie as a kid a lot but For some reason watched grease 2 many more times.
Watching with DDs makes you realize how much adult content is discussed!

I liked it, I didn't love it. I thought Vanessa Hudgens was the best one. I also thought the Greased Lightning number was great choreography.
