Great- as if watching UFC on pay preview wasn't enough!
Jake just joined a mixed martial arts gym to train with some famous fighter
he plans on fighting in the UFC- with in the next year
he always talked about doing this- but I never took it seriously
he's a really good fighter- and his nose is already been broken a million times- but I am worried about his neck
which suddenly doesn't hurt as bad- I think b/c he isn't focusing on it anymore
I don't think I can watch him fight- I will freak out

I just ran into a guy I went to HS with who is doing this-- and he told me that another guy we went to school with does it too.
I would be freaking out of I were you too-- I don't get it.  But- I would wait it out and see if he actually ends up fighting.

his friend who fights is already looking to set up fights for him
I think this little plan is alot further along then I even know
I hope he forgets about it- but for some reason I don't think so

he looks like a big enough guy to handle it - but i couldnt watch either.
did you ever see the friends episode where monica's boyfriend wants to be the UFC Champion?

from what this guy told me-- you make like no money doing it too-- He said he got paid $800 for a fight and that was a lot- and a cut needed to go to his manager. I could see if it was a way to bring in a ton of extra cash-- but it didn't sound like it-- but this is from a 10 min convo I had with a guy I haven't seen in 10+ years.
I am getting the feeling that this is a new trend-- so it may not be as extreme as it sounds.

he can handle it- I haven't seen it with my own eyes- but I have heard stories about when he was a bouncer
he calmed down alot since we starting dating-
I just think about watching my brother play lacrosse- if anyone hit him- I freaked- and that's my brother- not my DH

it's not about the money for most of these guys
but Jake's friend makes $20K if he wins- he's Pro

Is he training with Matt Serra? That's a famous UFC guy that's on the show. He has his own martial arts place on LI.

thats def scary! we should start a support group for wives and future wives of UFC fans!!!! i cant take that crap! i dont mind it once and a while but it seems like theres a fight on every weekend!
