Great CPSE meeting today. Gift for an OT?

Had DD's CPSE meeting today. Knew she'd be getting discharged from OT. They added another week so it isn't an abrupt end, which I thought was very accommodating.

I was prepared to really fight to keep her PT services as she is on the cusp of not qualifying but they saw fit to let it continue through June.

I couldn't be happier! Over the past two years it has made a huge difference for her and will have her ready for Kindergarten. She otherwise would have been far behind with many of her gross and fine motor skills and probably very discouraged to try new things.

Now that OT is ending I want to get a gift for her OT. Any suggestions?

I was thinking a tote bag with a pretty bunch of flowers, a notepad with a nice pen and something DD could make inside.

while those things are nice, they aren't very practical... meaning, how many can one teacher get...

just a thought.

when DS transitioned out of EI to CPSE (a little different) we got his therapists coach wristlets and a gift card and he made them a thank you card.

something made by your child is great, but a simple card or mini frame, one where it is easy to save and not so big...

I think your idea is great. When we were leaving EI we gave out gcs, beach tote bags with towels, and for the 2 that were with DD for 2+ years a nice pair of earings.

As a teacher, we get so many tote bags. The crafts were a cute idea and very original.

I usually like when a parent gives a card with a nice note inside.
