Great Kapok Tree Lessons
I teach 4th grade and was looking for some new ideas to use with this story for Earth day. Any creative activites you've done??

our school is doing a big earth day celebration and we are using the Kapok Tree in our class.
For LA I am going to read aloud the story and discuss the realistic vc fantasy parts- then have the kids identify the authors purpose and what lesson it teaches us
Math- My co teach has an activity for some Brazilian Candies
SS discuss rainforests and where they are located
SCience identify and label different layers of the rainforest.
btw I teach a 3rd grad inclusion!!
