Great Neck OB/GYN girls or those who were induced w/first come in....
Talking w/ a BTDT friend and she told me that since I am due the monday following Rosh Hashanah my doctor MIGHT want to induce me the Wed before the holiday to avoid me going into labor during the holiday.
My OB is Dr. Kaufmann @ Great Neck OB/GYN.
Girls familiar w/this practice is this something they do? My friends doctor did this for her before a holiday.
Do you think since it is my first they won't even consider this?
Just wondering--TY

I don't think they induce you until after your due date, but I am not sure. With my first they didn't schedule my induction until I was already late and they scheduled it for the night of exactly 1 week late(which was the night before columbus day-but they are open on that holiday)...I ended up going into labor on my own the night before my induction anyway.
I am sure if you ask them they will tell you.
ETA: actually I just saw your due date...and I was due 10/4 in '09 and if rosh hashanah fell the same day of the year, then no they didn't bring up induction to avoid that holiday to me at all.
