Great School for Online Phd Program
I want to go back to school and pursue a Phd. Due to my schedule right now I really need to take the classes online. Anyone know of any schools with great reputations that offer this option?

Honestly I don't think any great schools offer online PhDs.
I've known people who got PhDs through Capella University, but I wouldn't call it great. The University of Phoenix also offers some online. Your options for PhD field are also limited--what are you going to pursue? Most of the online doctoral programs are social science or Business, and many are education. You won't find many science PhDs online. And you may want to really think about your goal once (if) you complete the program--it does matter where you get a doctorate.

I agree - if you are pursuing a PhD in order to be a college professor, then I wouldnt encourage you to do an online program. It matters A LOT where you did your studies and what professors you worked with.

I totally agree with you all. I am applying to Georgetown University in DC. I was wondering if maybe just maybe there was a great school out there that offered an online option. I came across Walden and Capella but agree I would not say they are great schools and I don't want to waste my time and money.
