Great Shapes for swim wear?
has anyone gone to the store Great Shapes? I'm desperately looking for the perfect swim skirt to cover my fat arse and dimply thighs lol! All the ones I try on are way too short and I need one with a little better coverage. I've looked everywhere and just curious is anyone has shopped there and how the selection was. TIA!

Its nice and their bathing suits definitely seem to fit better but they are pricey. Staff has always been helpful when Ive been there, bringing different sizes/styles to the fitting room. I like it because you can get tops in bra sizes. I find it to be a nicer shopping experience vs a department store.

Great Shapes for swim wear?
I've never been there but I was at Macy's last week and they have a large selection. I just got a black swim skirt (long to hide everything lol).. Tons of choices.

Re: Great Shapes for swim wear?
I was shocked to find a few things that I actually liked. It is expensive though, so I only bought 2. (both Magicsuit Lisa)
The one I went to I felt the lady was a little pushy, trying to get me to buy cover ups too, but it was nice to have someone help me & not just wander around Macy's looking for something that might fit & not look horrible.
ETA-re-read your OP. My swim skirt was from Land's end. I don't think Great Shapes had a lot of them , but that may have just been when I went.

Re: Great Shapes for swim wear?
Thanks everyone, I think I may try going today. The one in Merrick is closest to me so I guess I'll go there. I usually do pretty well at Macy's but last time I was there I didn't have any luck. Hopefully they aren't pushy, I hate that! I don't mind spending a little extra as long as it's perfect. I've been on this quest for years lol.

I love it for Bathing suits. It's the right fit- where you're not just buying one by size. Since they mostly go by bust and figure, they don't tug and pull in the wrong places. I didn't like a maternity bathing suit I bought at old navy at all. Turns out the best one is from Great shapes in a size up from what I'd normally wear. Plus, my old one from there is 3 years old and looks perfect. I may have paid $88 but sooooooo worth it

Re: Great Shapes for swim wear?
Just wondering, do the people that work there measure you and stuff automatically when you come in or do you need to ask if you want that kind of help? Like what is the norm?

Re: Great Shapes for swim wear?
I went to the one Westchester (which may have closed - that address is no longer on the website) , but they asked what you were looking for as soon as you came in.
They didn't measure, but that asked what size you were & gathered stuff for you ( like a bridal salon) I went for bras & for bathing suits.
They start with the size you tell them unless they know a particular item runs large or small & then the go form there.
