Great Wolf Lodge
We are planning a trip for fall/winter, has anyone been there yet?
They have so many rooms and suites to choose from, I am having a hard time!
I like the idea of the private bedroom so that we don't have to necessarily go to bed when DS goes to bed.
We are also going to be with BIL, SIL and niece but they may get their own room.
all advice appreciated!

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
Sure you don't want to come to the one in Niagara Falls?
I've heard a lot of people liking it. I know, here, you can only go in the water if you stay there overnight, so I think it never really gets overcrowded.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
My husband and I took our 7 and 4 years olds there this past January. It was great, the water park was so much more then we thought it would be, we all liked it. They have a arts and crafts room, and every morning we were there making something. We also went snowtubing one afternoon, and that was a lot of fun, but you could really just stay at the lodge the whole time and have a good time. We went for 3 nights and that was enough time for us, my kids on the other hand would have stayed there forever. The place is a bit pricey, but you have use of the water park, arcade and restaurants. Plus they have an animated show and story time every night for the kids, it's cute. They have some pretty amazing rooms, but we just went for the basic room, and I'm glad we did because at night we were at the water park or the arcade, or what not and we were not in the room too much. If you have any questions, feel free to fm me!!!

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
I went with all my ILs and 5 nephews for one night in April (they stayed for 2). Personally, I would not have gone if it were not a family thing...only because my DD was 7 mos. at the time and it wasn't really conducive to that age. My nephews (who ranged in age from 15 down to 2), on the other hand, loved it! I think it's a great trip for that time of year. I wish we could have taken advantage of story time and that...but next time.
My SIL and I got massages at the spa there and there are outlets right down the road for shopping.
The water park was smaller than I expected, but fun. Beware...it's about 200 degrees in there!!! My BIL and SIL shared a room with us and there was a low wall which separated the "living" area so that DD slept in there in the Pack N' Play.
Overall, a good trip and I would definitely go back in a couple of years.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge
Thank you all!
DS will be 2.5 and niece 3.5 so I think they will be able to enjoy a big part of it.
Can't wait!
