Greek Food/Suffolk
Has anyone been to Aegean Cafe in Sayville? Is the food good? Is it worth the money?
Or if not that restaurant, what about Greek Islands in Holbrook? Any feedback there?
(from the two websites it looked like the place in sayville would be better)
I'm craving some Greek food like I used to get in Queens and the few I've tried so far have not come close. HELP !!

I have been going to Greek Isles since they opened. The food is really fresh. It I a mom and pop kind of place. I love the spanikopita, hummus, pasta ala Marco, dolmas, chick pe sala and saganaki.

Aegean is okay - I personally find that their tzaziki is a little on the flavorless side.. almost like mayo in consistency and flavor.. so that is a turn off. My favorite Greek is Greek Taverna in Commack. I also like Mediterranean Express in Bay Shore for a quick take out.

I don't think you can go wrong at either Agean or Greek Islands. I really like both places.

I like Aegean, but the best place IMO is Greek Garden in Babylon. They have the BEST Greek Salads.

Me too!!! Food is excellent and the portions are nice.
Aegan Cafe is ok, was better years ago.
The food at Greek Taverna in Commack is good too, but it's pretty small and gets very crowded.

I love aegan cafe, but I'm no Greek expert. The lemon chicken soup is yummy, never had a bad meal there

The Greek place on Hawkins Ave in Ronkonkoma is good. Holbrook Place is ok.
