Re: Green cleaning products
Just yesterday I bought the new green cleaning line put out by Clorox. It was on sale at Target so I figured I would give it a shot. I will be doing my cleaning when DD goes down for her nap at 12:30, so i'll let you know!

Re: Green cleaning products..Questions
I don't know that any of these things are really safe to breathe or touch, I would still use gloves and air out the room.
I hate the smell of Clean Works, though many others seem to like it. Method has a better scent IMO, though I've heard neither product is really all that green, though I'm not sure why. I do like that method lists ingredients--GreenWorks does not.

Re: Green cleaning products..Questions
I have had a green cleaned house since Andrew was born. I prefer Seventh Generation, Mrs. Meyers and some Method products.
They are safe to breathe. There is nothing in the ones I use except natural ingredients. Flowers, herbs, etc.

Re: Green cleaning products..Questions
I bought the Clorox products yesterday and I love the lime scent. The toilet cleaner isn't as thick as I would like though.

Re: Green cleaning products..Questions
We recently started using green products by Mellaluca-- so far they work pretty well.

Re: Green cleaning products..Questions
I make a lot of my own using recipes I got from organic living sites. I store them in gallon containers in the garage and refill my spray bottles when needed. It really takes very little time when you make them in bulk. The mixture I use the most if vinegar and water, different concentrations for the hard wood flooring vs. counters, etc.
A few months ago, it occured to me that even if I buy green products (ex. Method), all of the packaging I'm throwing away every month is contributing to the amount of recycling... who even knows if all of it really is getting recycled. It's also one less thing to have to get at the store.

This is true and a great idea. I have read that Method has non-green ingredients. I use 7th generation because I've read a lot about the company and i like their ideas and I also LOVE the spiced cedar scent of their spray cleaner
