Green smoothie or protein shake before working out?
I joined a gym 2 months ago. I'm never hungry in the mornings, so at the beginning I just had a coffee before going to the gym (I usually go to classes at 9 am) and a good breakfast coming back home.
Sometimes I've had a banana or oatmeal. Recently I started having a green smoothie (spinach, fruit and chia seeds), but I have read that it would be good to have a protein shake.
For those that know about this topic, what would you recommend? Can I just buy protein powder and put it on my green smoothie and would that be enough?

I don't know if it is right or wrong, but I will either have a green smoothie or oatmeal before and then after the protein shake or some sort of protein.

Thanks for answering! I'll keep doing what you are suggesting, since my breakfast when I'm back has good protein.
