I have made it also, you need matcha, which is powdered green teamatcha link
You make a basic custard recipe, add the powdered green tea (mixed with some water...) throw it in the ice cream machine...
BINGO...dozo yoroshiku green tea ice cream!!!

I have seen it - I "think" Turkey Hill makes it - but I don't know if it's a seasonal thing or not.

H-mart has the green tea Mochi ice cream. Yum! I love Mochi ice cream
Sorry ETA. H-Mart is on the corner of Hillside & Herricks in the Garden city park area? (I am not really sure what the actual address is)

I bought the Mochi Green Tea Ice cream at Trader Joe's and I HATE it!!! it left such a horrible taste in my mouth....Im so dissapointed!!
