I feel like I wasted 2 hours of my life. Grey's was good - the Addison part was dumb... DH and I didn't like.... it was like it was 2 different sets of writers.... she went from being strong and witty to frazzled.... not feeling it

I agree. The idea is good. I thought the first hour was pretty boring, but it got better. It has potential, but I didn't really like how they turned Addison into an emotional wreck.

I watched. Not sure what to think of the episode. It sure did flip around a lot to all different stories...but seemed to mainly focus on Addison. Do we know for sure if she's leaving the show?

That's the plan. The new show is supposedly called Private Practice and will be set in the office we saw tonight.
I think it will be good - it just needs to find it's own rhythm.
It had a MILLION people in it that I like so I hope it does well.

What was the sense in making it 2 hours?
Was driving me crazy.
I have to admit I like dthe Addison storyline much better then I had thought I would.
Im liking the George/Izzy storylien more then I thought I would too, why is it with Izzy I see him as less a geek? LOL

Tim Daly is hot...talking elevator made me giggle...Taye Diggs is amazing...but the spin-off...not feeling it.
Commecials every minute??? Annoying.
Killing off her stepmother with the hiccups? Bad idea. Bad idea in general.
I felt so bad for Meredith and all of these changes is not going to bode well with me!

I felt the same thing last night. I felt like I was watching 2 seperate shows and I wasn't to impressed with the actually show.

I didn't think the spinoff was that bad but I still think it's wayyy to early for them to make a spinoff of grey's.
I for one was thrilled everytime there was a commercial because I was constantly running to the bathroom (but i can imagine how annoying it must have been for all you non preggos)
What the hell is going to happen with Derek and Meredith? Is he really going to cheat on her? Cut the girl some slack....her mom just died, her stepmom who she just started getting closer to just died, her dad blames her --- Give the girl a break please!

I watched it last night!! I love the new show because:
A) The surfer guy is SO HOT!!! OMG!  There is something about a cute guy waxing a surf board....YUM!
B)The girl who played "Francie" on Alias is Taye Dig's Ex in this show. I think she is great.
C) Tim Daly's character. LOVE how alternative medicine is used and portrayed. I also think Tim Daly is a hottie for an old guy.
D) I also like the idea of a non-hospital medical show.

Where I understand what they were trying to do, all I found myself wanting was MORE GREY'S!!!
As for next week... NOT HAPPY about McDreamy and the girl in the bar

I actually fell asleep last night during Grey's! I don't think I have EVER fallen asleep during that show!
From what I saw of it, I didn't like Addison's "new" character. She went from being a strong woman to a frazzled mess.
I don't like that George is considering going to "Mercy West" either.... Anyone know if that is going to be a spinoff as well? 
ETA: I love the idea of that "group practice" though... I wish something like that existed where I live!

I think the addison show has potential... I was annoyed how there was hardly any grey's though..
I am also annoyed how it seems like all the men on that show are doubting their relationships

I cried when he hit Meredith. I wonder if her childhood was really sad.
The new show doesn't have the sense of the young people getting into a new vocation, so it's not as interesting to me. I may watch it though. That was a cute scene with the three women ogling the surfer dude.
