Growing out of baby tub
What did you graduate DC into? I was thinking of getting one of the seats that suction to the bottom of the tub, but was reminded by a few mommies of older kiddies that their private areas get bothered by the tub pieces as they grow bigger.
Can anyone suggest their tubs?

Re: Growing out of baby tub
We have this tub. We started using it when she could sit up and still use it at 12 months old. We keep it inflated in the bathroom.
It's $12.99 at Babies R Us.

Re: Growing out of baby tub
Honestly - since she was sitting up soooo well at this age, we put her in the tub without anything.
I think she was about 6 1/2 months

wait - and then would you go in with her - or just lean over the tub?
I only brought Jack in there once - to try and give him a bath sitting up - it was a disaster. I ended up holding him - and it was a bid old mess. I was so scared I was going to drop him.

Re: Growing out of baby tub
I got rid of the tub-seat in the regular tub at about 10 months and just put her in the tub by herself. I have a rubber mat that suctions to the bottom of the tub that she sits on. I have never gotten into the tub with her

We have the same one and love it. We got it when she was about 8 months old and still use it at 15 months. It's perfect!

I got one very similar to this from BBB. We started using it at about 8 or 9 months. We are still using it now, at 20 months. We tried that bath seat, and I just didn't like it -- you had to fill the tub with alot of water for the baby to be submerged. I also didn't like that she was so upright (I lie her down to rinse her hair), and that she had so little movement possible in the bathseat.
I am about to graduate her to something I got from BBB that is just like this. They're just bumpers that go around the walls of the tub. In this pic it looks like it takes up the bottom of the tub too, but it doesn't.

We use this one too (DS is almost 16 months). I have tried to put him in the big tub but it still freaks him out. I think it is too big or something Regardless, this tub is great and he hates getting out of it.

Nope - just her by herself and DH or I would lean over the side. She would just sit in there and play with her Solo Cup (her favorite bath toy )

Re: Growing out of baby tub
I have the bath seat and I really like it.
I know the inflatable ones make it softer for them, but I'm still too afraid that he will slip and fall into the water.
He sits up really well, but he's so damn curious about everything that he just lunges for things. The bath seat prevents him from lunging face first into the water.
Plus I found inflating and deflating the tub really annoying.

Victoria gets so wiggly I am afraid to put her in the tub right now without some kind of support. DH is rarely ever home when she gets her baths so I'm trying to keep things simple vs. leaning over the tub (which I do now and the kid just slips from my grip when she decides to really play in there)
Nope - just her by herself and DH or I would lean over the side. She would just sit in there and play with her Solo Cup (her favorite bath toy )

Re: Growing out of baby tub
Lucas outgrew the infant bath so fast...so Rich put in a new kitchen sink that is huge and we use that along with the sling-type thing that came with the infant bath. He is starting to get too long to lay in the sink (when I wash his hair or feet I like to recline him in the sink) so we might have to move to the regular tub soon.

Re: Growing out of baby tub
I use the inflatable tub from toys r us as well and it is great. We started using it when DD#1 was about 8 months old till about 20 months. We kept it inflated and hung it up with a suction cup on the shower wall.
