Growth sono in 3rd trimster...

does everyone get this done? If you have Dr. HAnauer when and where does she send you? im 32 weeks and she hasnt mentione anything about it...

my office told me i was going to get one and i never did - i'm in my 38th week and i am being induced next week - they said that they will only do it if they feel u r measuring wrong and apparently i am measuring great. definately mad me mad b/c i havent seen her since the 20 week sono.

I'm honestly not sure if my doctor would have mentioned this to me if I had not inquired about it. They didn't have a problem once I asked, and as I mentioned in my other post, I'm glad I had it done because I'm not sure how else they would have known about the low amniotic fluid levels.

However, at the hospital where I had it done, the sono tech totally gave me the third degree. She didn't understand why I was there (this is before my diagnosis). I guess it's not as routine as I thought, at least maybe in the hospital setting (I was originally supposed to get it done at my practice's Great Neck office, but they were booked for weeks).

Anyway, it's definitely worth it to ask. I had mine yesterday and will be 34 weeks on Sunday. So it doesn't have to be at exactly 32 weeks but somewhere within the next couple of weeks I think. Every practice is different although I think I remember someone posting on here that your particular OB did send out for growth sonos. I'm sure it won't be a problem.

I have had high blood pressure since i have been pregnant, so my dr sent me for one at 28 weeks.
I also got the third degree from the woman at the hospital who made the appt with me. However, the dr that performed the growth scan told me he wants me in every three weeks for another scan.
I swear these people dont realize that i actually have a job on top of being pregnant!
