GROWTH SONO UPDATE - edited with grainy pics
So I went for the growth sono. At 37 weeks, 2 days, Mikayla is weighing in at a svelte 8lb, 3ounces 
The doctor is estimating her to be around 9 pounds when I deliver her on the 20th
We are going to do the induction, as planned and If my labor stalls (like if I stay at 3 cm for an hour or more), they are gonna do the c-section
I feel good about giving it a try and if I do not progress to go ahead with the c-section. I have some grainy pics of her chubby cheeks that I will try to scan in now. 
12 days till the BIG DAY

You know what, I want to give it a try vaginally. I know alot of people who have delivered babies over 9 pounds without a problem. I think that if my progress does stall and I need a c-section, I can at least say, I tried to do it vaginally (which is what I want to do)
I will not labor for a long time and then have the c-section, we will know pretty early on in the labor process if I am progressing or not....and the good thing is, since I am being induced, i can get the epidural as soon as I want it....I can walk in to the hospital and ask for it as soon as I feel uncomfortable, as opposed to having to wait until I reach a certian dialation point

Vaginal recovery is much easier than a c-section, that is what I have heard. C-section is MAJOR surgery. I am not getting my hopes up either way, we will see how it goes, stay tuned for the update
eta: why would your dh be pusing for a c-section? Does he know what that entails for you? My DH is pushing for vaginal

Awwww - it's so amazing - they start off like little beans with so much space in there and now look at your little girl! So clear!
My doctor is thinking that my little girl will be on the bigger side too. I was 8lb and change and DH was 9.5 lbs so it makes sense. I want to try vaginally too and DH feels the same. In the end - whatever it takes to get her into my arms so we're open to whatever is necessary. Sounds like you feel the same.

I feel the same way...dh was like 10,2...and I was 7,8 but I was also 3 weeks early. So we kinda knew she was gonna be a little chunker. Even at her 3d sono pics when I was 27 weeks she had chubby cheeks already...I think 3 of her pounds are in her cheeks

me too, I cannot wait to pinch those cheeks...the ultrasound tech said, "i hope you did not buy her any newborn clothes"
eta: I was just remembering, before I even found out that we were having a girl, I had a dream that we had a girl with HUGE chubby cheeks....so strange
