Growth spurt or is it the formula?
This is kind of a confusing question but I'll see if I can explain. DD is 5 weeks old and is formula fed. Lately after feeding she has been sticking out her tongue and putting her hand in her mouth, the signs she wants more. So we incresed her feeding to 5 oz ( with drs permission) We thought that would do it but she is still doing it after feeding. I can't see giving her more than 5 oz at her age.
I guess my question is could her need for more food be related to a growth spurt?
Or could it be that we use the powdered formula? It seems thin, could it not be as satisfying as the RTU?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Growth spurt or is it the formula?
did you use switch from RTU to powder? I mostly use powder but have used rtu occassionally and never noticed that Sydney drinks less w/ RTU... I think it could definitely be a growth spurt.
ETA that I feed on demand and if she seems to want more I would give her more. My ped said that at this age you cannot overfeed, as long as she isnt spitting it up after you are fine. When she goes through growth spurts she definitely drinks more than usual and after a few days settles back down again to her usual amount.
