Grrr...fell off the wagon

Ok, for the most part, some of this was out of my control, but I should have gotten right back on the horse and didn't.

I had a severe issue w/ my stomach this week, that is just starting to feel somewhat better. I basicly ate what I could tolerate, which wasn't the best foods (mostly breads) and wasn't going to calculate points when I could barely eat to begin with. However, I should have been right back on program today, but did not count points at all. I need some words of encouragement because i'm really kinda PO'd at myself. I can't attend my meeting tomorrow because I have to work (oh yayChat Icon ). So, please give me some encouraging words. Did I do the right thing this week? I literally could not eat much.

You were sick and you fell off the wagon.. it happens. As long as you get up and haul your butt back on the wagon that's all that really matters in the end, right?Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

IMO, to think that you are going to be on plan 100% for the rest of your life is just setting you up for failure.

Sure, we'd all LIKE to, but sh1t happens. Emergencies, sickness, and sometimes just wanting or needing to splurge and have that piece of cake.

I was in the hospital in October, and I'm still on drugs which mess with my weight... between that and the holidays, I've decided that as long as I maintain thru January 1 that I'll be happy with that. To me that still means that I'm in control. I just need to keep to it.

The fact that you are so self aware of it, shows that you're still in the mindset, which is the most important thing.

Don't dwell on the past, just focus on the present and what you want to achieve in the future. Stop beating yourself up for what has happened...we have all been there. It's particularly hard to give it your all when you aren't feeling your best. We are always our own worst critics...it's probably not as bad as you think Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
