GRRRRRR JLO
Source
Latina beauty Jennifer Lopez is considering quitting her music and movie career to become a full-time mother.
The Jenny From The Block star believes you can't be a successful mother and wife and have a job - so she's prepared to give up work to devote herself to her family.
She explains: "Either you are going to be a bad mom and be a really good career woman and wife, or a good mom and career woman and bad wife, or a good mom and a good wife and your career is going to ****."
Hey Jlo...stop that crap and just admit you are stopping work because you are a reallly bad singer and actress. What a crappy thing to say.

Exactly.
How ignorant of her to say something like that!

I don't think she is quitting for that reason. I can't say she is a great actress. But she is a platinum recording artist.

Platinum recording artist - yes - so she sells records, sure - but come on - do you really thing she's a good vocalist?

Re: GRRRRRR JLO
So if I work that means I'll be a bad Mom? Glad to know I never wasted any of my money on her records or movies.
Some of us in the real world have natural talent sweetheart and can juggle family and a job and be great at both. Will we be stressed? Yes of course, because we are not changing men every two years while jet setting around the world. Maybe she should be married to Tom Cruise with that kind of crack

Re: GRRRRRR JLO
I don't think she should have said it that way, but I think it would be incredibly difficult to go touring with an infant if she chose to continue her career as a singer. I also think touring would put a strain on the marriage, if her DH still continues to work and record and he either must put his career on hold or she leaves with the baby to go touring and doesn't see her husband for long periods of time.
But she shouldn't have said it in such an all-or-nothing statement. She should have said "I could not be a successful singer, wife, and mother..."

I think more than half of the artists in her genre "can't sing".
But to imply that she is quitting the industry because she is unsucessful is just not accurate.

I agree. Barbara Walters has pretty much said the same thing, about balancing career, marriage and motherhood, but far more eloquently and she didn't get flack for it.
These people have far more demands on their time in their career than the average person and I think sooner or later at least one area has to take a backseat.
