Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat (update)
DH and I discussed all of our options. We have more than I even considered.
We are not comfortable handing them over for full-time care on such short notice (less than 24 hours before orientation day) and for me to essentially give up most of the day, 5 days a week, for the remainding 6 months of my leave. That is a lot of time to give up with them just to secure two spots. I didn't take a year off of my job to give up 6 months with my children.
We are calling the director tomorrow.
Thanks for the support ladies

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat
It might be better that you don't have a lot of time to think about it. Kinda like ripping a band aid off, better to get it over with quick.
It will all work out.

Wow Theresa, what a shock for you. Hopefully something works out that you can start working in your district sooner than later. I hope it goes well. Keep us updated.

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat
I'm sorry. This must be gut wrenching for you. Is your second choice day care absolutely out of the question? The March - September tuitions you are saving may may up for the extra monthly cost, once Sept comes.

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat (update)
I hear what your saying about sending them to daycare when your on leave. You will make the right decision. I just wish this daycare was a little more flexible. Who knows? A spot may open in the fall? Families situations change all the time especially teachers.

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat (update)
I wouldn't be happy putting them in daycare 6 months before I had to either. I glad you have options. Let us know what the director says.
