GRR....SO AGGRAVATED I could cry
I just got an e-mail from my eveil mothers' sister (my aunt who I am on good terms with) saying how upset my mother is with our phone call and that I was too young to know what happened and that a marriage doesn't end by one person alone....
I DO know what happened...my father shared it with me. I DO know what happened because I was the one who lost their childhood and raised my sister.
WHY DO PEOPLE NEED TO GET INVOLVED??!!

I've heard from my mother and my father why their marriage went wrong, and I believe the truth falls somewhere between each of their stories. But it's all water under the bridge and she should mind her own business! maybe your mom asked her to call?

No....she sent a letter the other day.
She said she'd "settle things with an apology from me" which I think is absurd.....
I will not apologize for MY FEELINGS...they are MINE.
My mother needs therapy-badly.

I had the same experience - I heard both sides and think the truth is somewhere in between. Still, you are entitled to your very own feelings about it, you do not need to have the same opinion as one parent or the other. I don't know the whole story here but .

I have gone through the same thing with my fathers family. I will not even begin to tell you the horrible things he did to my mother... and eventually to us (his kids). Meanwhile, his family was supporting HIM all along. They have the nerve to tell us (the kids) what to do, how to feel, etc. Even after telling them the way it was. I have written THEM ALL out of my life and am now much happier.

It just aggravates me that now my aunt is trying to be involved when she ONLY knows my mothers side. She writes "did you know your dad told us he was leaving your mom before you were 3 years old" YESSSS!!!! I DID know that! Holy Cr@p!!
No one, I mean NO ONE (in my family) knows what it was like growing up with all that disappointment and the constant HOPING That someday my mother would do what she says she'd do. It was SO embarassing growing up....
I'm DONE. Totally done...If she can't live within MY boundaries, then she's gone.

You have to do what is best for you. It sounds like your mother is toxic. Maybe you should not even bother responding to your aun't's emails since you get all upset all over again. Can you block her?

For some reason alot of people feel the need to put in their 2 cents where it does not belong. I am sick to death of it. It happened with our wedding and its happening again with the baby.. enough already!

I know these feelings all too well 
My mother plays the victim all the time and always wants me to apologize when she's the one who does not respect my boundaries as an adult.
