Grumpy Bear today - kinda long

I woke up really annoyed this morning and I've had a little storm cloud over my head ever since. Here's why. DH just got a new car a few months ago and all of his free time now is spent fixing it up and hanging out online on another forum like we have here on LIF, just for car stuff though. We actually had a pretty bad fight about this last month bc I just had it with feeling like an afterthought when all this time and energy was going into the car and nothing was left for me. We got everything out about how we felt and I thought things were going to be okay, but just last night I got really annoyed again because after we got back from visiting his parents, he spent the next two hours on the computer updating his profile with new pics of the car he took yesterday. New pics that he left his parent's house to take, then when he got back, spent 90% of the night on their computer fixing the pics. I want to make it very clear that there is NO question whatsoever about what he's really doing on the computer, I'm just starting to get annoyed again at the lack of thought on his part. It makes me feel like a brat bc he's not spending that time with me, but on the same note, I really don't enjoy watching TV by myself every night while he's on the computer either. I know it's his new hobby, and I'm doing my best to support him since he truly enjoys it and I love seeing him so happy. But I can't help but feel a little neglected at the same time. I'm not sure what to do since we already talked about it and I don't want to be a nag every time he does something with the car now. DH is completely oblivious to all of this too - he had no idea why I was pissy this morning and chalked it up to "that time of the month" which made me even more ****** off than I already was. So, I just needed to vent. I get aggravated bc he would be annoyed with me if I spent that much time doing something else in the few hours we have to spend with each other during the work week, and then to insult my feelings by writing it off as PMS, it really infuriates me sometimes! WOW!! I think you just wrote my life script!!!

Two years ago my DH bought a mustang. Now, mustang is all that is on his brain. He spends any extra money on the car, time on the car, and hours on this stinkin SVT Mustang website. They go to GTG's like every month, etc. I think it is great he has a hobby, but it gets irritating when the MOMENT we walk in the door from anywhere, he hops on the computer to "check his forum."

We are in the process of packing for our move, he goes to work on his car on Saturday and then to a GTG Sunday morning. Comes home and hops on the computer to upload the pics he took from the GTG. I was like "HELLO, are you gonna help me pack."

I feel your pain. I want to throw the computer against the wall sometimes!!!!

lmao -it's nice to hear that you're not alone, isn't it? DH does the same thing when he comes home - he's in the door, kiss hello for me, pat on the head for the dog - five minutes later, he's on the computer.... Argh!! I always joke that his car is the other woman, and we're learning how to peacefully coexist Maybe we should just form our own group, I'm sure there's enough of us!
