Guess I do belong here...
I had my follow up appointment today and I definitely have PCOS, my hormones are all messed up, in addition to my ovaries full of cysts .. My doctor prescribed me Provera which I will take for 10 days to bring on AF. After AF comes I will start taking Metformin, which will hopefully get me to ovulate. I will keep playing around with the dosage for three months to see if I will ovulate and get AF on it. If it works, then at my next appointment in sept, she said I will be good to go for TTC. If not, we will take the next step, but hopefully the metformin will work for me, keep your fingers crossed.
I feel kind of down because I fee like I am defective. My friends are getting pg with no problems and here I am having to take meds just so I can ovulate to even TTC. Its not fair..

I'm so sorry and I'm sure you're frustrated. Its definitely not fair, but you have a game plan and that's a start. You'll get there before you know it.

Sorry to hear about what you are going thru. It is not easy to venture over to these boards. But you do have a great game plan and are on your way to getting your BFP!!

You are not defective....PCOS is actually quite common. Having a plan of action is a great thing. I hope you graduate soon

Sorry to hear what you are going through. I know what you mean when you say you feel "defective" - I've felt that way too...but you are not - as someone else, said you just need help! The good thing is that you know what the issues are and you are on your way to doing something about it.

Please don't feel defective. I wish I knew about these boards when I was diagnosed. I was devastated and wanted to cry when I saw a pregnant woman. But never give up!

I know what your going through. I have PCOS too. There are so many advancements with medications to treat PCOS. I pray you get your BFP soon!

Hi there, I have PCOS too, and had many of the feelings that you have. What I found was so many women need a helping hand in making their baby dreams come true. Be persistent, be informed, and take the diagnosis head on, you will get your BFP! I hope you graduate form here soon!
