Guess its
another mc for me. I started spotting yesterday and its progressively gotten worse. It happened at exactly the same time in October, exactly 1 week after AF was due. I just want to curl up in a ball and cry, but I have to keep it together for my DS. Anyone know anything about not producing enough progesterone? Will they test me for that now that I have had to mc's? How they test for that?

Re: Guess its
I'm sorry for your loss. Your progesterone should be checked along with the HcG and estrodial. in my situation, I had 1 successful pg, tried to get pg a 2nd time, had m/c, got pg immediatley after m/c and lost that too. Pathology on 1st loss showed no abnormalities (2nd was blighted ovum). Getting pg again, Dr sent me for bloodwok every 2 days and noticed my progesterone was dropping (not significantly, but still dropping). I was put on progesterone suppositories until 10 weeks and was able to continue my pg and delievered my 2nd son 4 months ago. When you get pg again tell your Dr you want your progesterone monitored closely

Re: Guess its
I am so sorry to see this. My heart goes out to you- I know just how heartbreaking it is to have this happen over and over.
You situation sounds similar to what I dealt with- I had two early losses back to back followed by a chemical in the span of 6 months. It was just devastating.
I want to recommend a book to you that really helped me- it's called Coming to Term by John Cohen. It basically is about the mysteries of recurrent m/c, gives all the possible reasons why it could be happening, and also shares the stories of many women who have gone through it without ever finding out why- but still went on to carry a child to term.
This book gave me so much hope in my darkest hours, and gave me the courage to keep trying. I am now 10 weeks pregnant (fingers crossed), which is way further than I ever made it, and I really believe that it can and will work out.
About the progesterone- what I did this time was call the doc as soon as I got my BFP to have it tested, but it was fine. They can definitely give you supplements if they find it's an issue for you- my understanding is that it's one of the easiest issues to remedy as long as they catch it.
Many for you.

Re: Guess its
Im so sorry for ur loss. Ive had 2 previous mc one in may at 9 weeks and one in november at 7 1/2 weeks. I have low progesterone as well as clotting factors. I get my progesterone tested 7dpo and depeding how it is i either go on suppositories or see how it is a few days later. At 11dpo when i got my bfp my progesterone was a 22 with suppositories, then it started to decrease to a 15. My dosage was upped to 3x a day and as of right now my progesterone is pretty much stable at 16. I would definitely ask ur dr to check a week after ovulation to see ur levels and to have the monitored as soon as u get ur bfp
Again im so sorry for ur loss but this is something u should talk to ur dr about

Re: Guess its
I'm so sorry for your loss. I've gone through an identical situation. I had my first m/c at 12 weeks and then waited the 2 months as advised and got pg again and lost after 5 weeks, then I decided to go to an RE who tested me for my progesterone at day 2 or 3 of my cycle and again at day 21 and found out my progesterone was low, he immediately put me on them b/c I told them we had bding this month. I'm now on the suppositories and am very very hopeful.
