Guidance for putting a offer down on a house?
Does anyone have any good advice about putting an offer down on a house? We are doing this today or tomorrow. Very stressful! But at least we finally found a house we like and has great potential to update/upgrade.
Thanks, Jen

Go low...but not too low. You can always come back with a higher offer. It's a buyers market nowadays.
Good luck, it can be a stressful experience.

make sure you disclose whether or not you are doing a sellers concession, when you would like to close, how much down at contract and how much down at closing, and have your attorney information ready. good luck!

some people try to finance their closing costs and thats called a sellers concession. but you need the homeowners approval thats why it has that name and it needs to be disclosed when making the offer.

I am going through the same process--- just make a lower offer than you are willing to pay to start off, and be prepared to bargain with the seller. Also, make sure that you are preapproved for a mortgage ahead of time.
