does anyone know how to get gum off of pants?

What's the best way to remove chewing gum from a sweatshirt?

Put the sweatshirt right into the freezer to harden the gum (don't cover with plastic). Once the gum is firm, carefully pick off as much of it as possible, then scrape off what's left with the edge of a credit card or a dull knife. If there's any residue or stain, sponge the area with dry cleaning fluid or treat it with a prewash spray. Launder as you normally would, but don't put the sweatshirt into the dryer until you're sure all the gum is gone.
