Gymboree Classes $$$

Are they kidding me. $354 for a class that runs 1/3/07 to 4/7/07 for my 8 month old once a week. Is it really worth it????

Re: Gymboree Classes $$$

Does that include a one time only registration fee? It is a long session and that is about right..

I think it is worth it, if you can afford it plus- your child will be socializing with childrren the same age and it gets you out of the house interacting with the other parents..

Most classes average $20-25 per class..

Re: Gymboree Classes $$$

definately do a trial class. Most places will let you sit in on a class to see if you like it and since you are paying a lot of money youwant to make sure it is worth it.

I have done trial classes with all the places I go to..

Is there a My gym by you?? If so take a look at that, Jacob loves it ..

We go to My Gym too and Marissa absolutely loves it! They also have free play for an hour a week that you can take you DC to. Definitely do a trial class though...

Re: Gymboree Classes $$$

We found it worth it for that time span, because we also took the kids for a "free play" day during the week....kept us in where it was warm, thay LOVED the classes! ( my daughter and neice were 1 and almost 2 at the time, I think the walkers may get more out of it)

Re: Gymboree Classes $$$

It is a lot of money. the one by me only wanted 319 and that was a lot. I went to the trial and I can't justify it. Is My Gym cheaper I hope? They're much further away from us unfortunately than gymboree.

ETA Just checked the my gym website and they're even more expensive though it's a longer session so it's probably about the same. ugh!

Re: Gymboree Classes $$$

The price also includes their playgyms which is 1 hour of free play scheduled different times at different centers. I go about 2 times a week plus the class so I fully use their facility. After a full 4 consecutive sessions (1 year) you become a high five member and the classes are 50% off. My son is just 18 months so we will be paying 50% off for as long as he is enrolled. Definitely worth it for us.

Re: Gymboree Classes $$$

FYI - if you have a local gymnastics center almost all of them have separate classes for Mommy & Me's right up to gymnasts... might be a bit cheaper - I know the one by me is a tad bit cheaper than My Gym.

We've had my DS in Gymboree for about 3 years now. Regular classes, music classes, art classes, and now the separation class ( 2 hours without mom or dad). We really like it. Unfortunately, they changed the "Hi-5" feature, at least at the school we are currently at (Greenlawn). I didn't listen for details, as the counter person was telling one of the other moms, and we are already in Hi-5, so it didn't pertain, but it's something you want to ask about during the trial class.
