Gymboree dress sizing

Do you find their dresses to run big, small, or average? I have one dress I bought for DD, 12-18 months, and she swims in it.

I wanted to buy one for DD now but not sure how the sizing is. I wanted it for her christening (which will hopefully happen soon Chat Icon )

I find big. DD is in 12 months and my aunt bought her a stack of clothing for her bday from Gymboree and it included a couple dresses which are marked 12-18 months - they are HUGE on her and they are supposed to be long but not dragging on the floor long.

I thought maybe it was miss sized but I went to the gymboree store and the same dress was the same length on her there too.

Yeah, that's my impression too, just wanted to double-check. Their other clothes don't seem to run that big, but these dresses do. Odd.

Yeah, Lily is about 15 months and some of her 12-18 month dresses from Gymboree fit her, but they're roomy. Even after washing and drying them.
It's a shame because they're so cute!

Re: Gymboree dress sizing

I find it very big...my dd is 16 months, wears 12 months most places, but wears 6-12 months comfortably there...

The definitely run big. I bought Genevieve the cutest dress from there and spent more than I wanted, but it was so long on her.

the dresses do seem to run big, but the other clothing seems pretty true to size.

Re: Gymboree dress sizing

I've found some of the shirts a bit big as well...the necks are wide sometimes.
