Gymboree vs My Gym

If you have experience with both, which did you prefer and why.....trying to decide between My Gym or Gymboree...My Gym is a little closer so I'm leaning that way, but am a bit intrigued by the different types of classes that Gymboree offers, like music....DD is 10 months old. We may do trials at both but just curious what others have thought. TIA!

Re: Gymboree vs My Gym

Here is my response from a previous post regarding the difference, I hope it helps. Gymboree also has a 1/2 off membership once you are a member for a full year, I paid $320 for classes from June-December so it is definately worth it to stick with gymboree, it is called high five.

My Ds went to my gym last semester and loved it, we went to the one in plainview. We also do gymboree which i prefer since my gym can be dangerous if you dont have your eyes on your child the whole time. My sons friend broke her ankle when she fell off a trampoline there and some of the other moms have seen kids hurt their teeth on some of the climbing equipment. Depending on the age and agility of your child I would try the class first, but it is a very nice place and I think we will join again next semester.

Re: Gymboree vs My Gym

Does anyone know the rates for My Gym? A new one just opened by me, and I am curious b/c The Little Gym's rates went up ALOT, and I can't really justify the expense this fall.

Re: Gymboree vs My Gym

I tried out the little gym and gymboree. they were both pretty close in price. I went with Gymboree because they also offered open play everyday for no additional charge. So I am signed up for one 45 min structed class a week plus I can attend any of the open play groups as well. I felt like I got more for my money at Gymboree. I also liked the people better and felt it was cleaner than the Little Gym. I have never been to My gym. Hope that helps.

This is scary, how old was your son's friend?...I have to say, I am not a fan of trampolines. Anywhere.... DD is only 10 months and can't stand by herself yet....I guess we'll try both and see which we like better.

I love Gymboree but wanted to let you know this 1/2 off hi-five deal is gone.

Re: Gymboree vs My Gym

The girl fell off the trampoline when she was 2 years old. So you always have to watch your child no matter how old.
I cant believe gymboree doesnt have the high five, what will I do with my 2nd baby? Chat Icon

Re: Gymboree vs My Gym

We go to My Gym and really like it. My DD is 10 months old & it's just the right amount of stimulation for her. We paid $180 for 10 weeks. Do different location charge different prices? I saw that someone said that they paid $220 for 10 weeks.

At any rate, I've never been to Gymboree. I don't feel that My Gym is any more dangerous than other places with climbing & crawling apparatus. My DD needs my constant assistance and supervision. It's a ton of fun!
