had a great but very busy day..
took 5 kids to the city to go to the museum of natural history and to see the tree. then we all ate at jeckel and hydes for dinner. Had with me two 16 year olds, an 8 yo, a 5 year old and a 1 year old!!! glad to be home safely!!

Wow, you are brave!
The museum of natural history is my fave - DH had made arrangements to propose there and have the ring in a case in the gem room but due to a family emergency we couldn't go on that day so he just did it at home.

I can feel it baby  although at first I thought you went by yourself  
so hopefully the teens helped with entertaining the little ones.

kristi did you drive or take the LIRR ?
im hoping to DRAG my hubby into the city one day, and wondering which is easier... Im sure neither is a piece of cake  the driving and parking nightmare with driving in, and the shlepping stroller, kids getting tired with walking/cabbing/LIRR.

anna we ALWAYS drive when we go to the city. parking is a pain but we park in a garage and pay the 30 bucks. it's still cheaper than taking in the train with the whole family. plus there isnt a cab big enough for our whole family so we have to drive from place to place!

well the $30 is definitely worth every penny with so many people and so much going on, but my thought was, if you go to 3 places, now you have to go back to place # 1 because thats where you parked, kwim??
and for that reason, last time we went (over a year a ago  ) we took the LIRR and cabs.

my DH has alot of patience for parking in the city. (he grew up there) so we kinda drive around until we find a spot. this time though we wound up in two different garages and paid 60.
