Had another sono today to finish the anatomy and....
...we chose not to find out the gender!! YAY! I resisted temptation. It was so hard but the tech was so nice and she said she was surprised with her daughter and it was so much better that way. I think the tech supporting my decision so openly made it easier not to give in and find out. And of course I made her swear that she knows nothing and she said she would back up my story that the baby didn't cooperate (I think I may tell some persistent friends that they couldn't get the view they needed)
One thing we did find out: our baby has a lot of hair!
The tech called the dr in who reviews the sonos because she was uncertain about something on the skull that she thought was hair. When I mentioned that both my brother and I were born with mops on our heads, she looked closer and said, "yup, that is hair. Looks like this kid will have a lot of it"
I told DH that the hairy Italian genes are coming through. Poor guy...

Good for you - you'll find as you get later in the pregnancy it will get even more exciting not to know and to keep guessing! It will also get you through those hard times - something to aim for! Wow, hair already!

Wow! I didn't know they could see the hair on an u/s, how cool! Your little one must have a lot! My son wasn't born with a lot of hair- but he sure has it now! Must be our Italians!

That was one of the best moments, hearing whether I had a boy or a girl. I was so ecstatic to hear she was a girl and I'm so glad I waited.

I was surprised for both of my children. I looked at it this way. I figured tt if labor got really bad I would have something to focus on-Boy or Girl. It truely helped at those crazy contraction times.
