had breakdown at work
As many of you know I had my D&C this past Friday. Today at work someone caught me at the wrong moment and I went OFF on them. I felt so bad I called the person back right away and told her what happened hoping maybe she'd understand. Well she did and offered her sympathy... and I of course apologized profusley. Well everything is fine now but I cant take all this being fine one minute and breaking down the next. Maybe I came back to work too soon

I'm sorry, Lisa....I had a similar situation with 2 girls at work recently.....A truly understanding person will understand what we are going through...

Thanks girls. I found out I was definately gonna miscarry on Monday 7/7 and took the whole week off. So this Monday 7/14 was my first day back. But I'm kinda thinking I could have used a few more days. i just hate the fact that I'm fine one min and crying the next. I feel like such a "nut job".

you're not a "nut job". These are all emotions that are normal and you are doing your best. Hang in there, some days are harder than others, but you can do it...

You need time, but maybe being at work is OK because it keeps you a little busy (if you can concentrate that is). I think being home might be worse. I know I'd start beating up on myself. How much bad TV can one watch? Or shopping? Don't be hard on yourself for feeling this way.

You are not a nut job! Whether anyone else around realizes it or not, losing a pregnacy is an emotionally draining ordeal that everyone deals with differently.
Please also remember your body is going through some hormonal changes as the pregnancy level drops in your body.
YOu will feel better soon, give yourself a little more time.

Please don't make yourself crazy over that. You did the right thing, you called and apologized. If you don't have the time to take from work, just deal with it best you can and keep your head down as much as possible. Believe me, I know the feeling.

I don't think you went back to soon and I don't think you are nuts. It takes time. And no one can tell how much time. Everyone is different. Just give yourself all the time in the world you need and don't worry what anyone says or thinks.

I can't tell you how many times I've broken down at work.
Some days I have just left early cuz I couldn't stop crying.
Please don't think you are a nut job and don't worry about going back to work. It's something you have to do and you just try to get through it as best you can.

I agree. You are grieving and dealing with grief is not a "neat" process. It takes time, so try to be gentle with yourself. I am so sorry for what you are going through.
