Had my 38.5 week growth sono and internal today
So had my first growth sono today -Baby is measuring at 7lbs 7oz. I feel like that is pretty big, but the sono tech said its a good weight, but that I will prob have an 8lb baby -She said the head was down but not super low - I REALLY wanted some sort of gender confirmation. I hadn't had a sono since my level 2 when we found out it was a girl, but I'm such a freak that I'm really paranoid that they told me wrong. They were unable to confirm anything today because they said there was a foot blocking the view. I was sad, but I guess I'll find out soon enough! - The real bummer for me was that I'm still not dialated at all. I was hoping there would be something. I know I can go from nothing to labor in no time, I just was hoping for some reassurance that something was going on down there

Re: Had my 38.5 week growth sono and internal today
My DH and I went to a childbrith class recently and the nurse who was teaching the class told us that regardless of how big the baby gets in the last few weeks the size of his or her head stays pretty much the same. So, delivering a 7lb baby or a 9lb baby really makes no difference since the heads will probably be about the same size. As my due date approaches I take some strange confort in this. I was told today at my doctor's appointment that I will have an internal exam next time. How bad was it? I am so scared.
