Had my car seat inspected, and they told me
to move it to behind the passeneger seat....it makes me soooooo nervous!!! Anyone else have theirs in that spot?

It really depends on the make/model of the car. I wouldn't worry. They really know which spot is the best for the car seat. It is based on several different factors. I always thought it was the middle, but find one side or the other is usually safer.

Mine was in the center, but I felt that it wasn't secure enough. When I had it inspected, she said that the middle (in my car not everyone's) was not the most secure, so she asked if I minded if we moved it, and now it is like night and day...VERY secure...

mine is on the passenger side too.
we have the latch system and that is only on the sides (not middle) - so i feel like that's okay. plus it will make it so easy to take baby in and out of the car!

I have DD's Britax behind the passenger seat in my Honda Civic. I had the Graco Snugride there first when she was <6 months old. I like it there!

This is so true! It was difficult to reach the middle when I was playing "mommy" in my car! We have the Pathfinder, and it is kind of big to begin with!

Mine is on the passenger side as wel - that's where the LATCH is and that's where the manual recommended.

Not off topic at all! Someone had posted a list on here, and I picked the closest place to my office. It was in Ronkonkoma, on Vets Hwy. There were places listed all over LI.
I'll see if I can find the link for you...

so funny. I had mine on the passenger side and when they inspected it, they suggested we move it to the middle. I'm happy because when it was on the passenger side the front seat was so far up it was extremely uncomfortable to sit in.

DS is 3 and his car seat has always been behind the passenger seat because of the latch system. I just felt it was better there. I don't think it could ever be as secure in the middle without the latch (in my car anyway)
