Re: Had my consult with Dr. Davis at Cornell
I'm sorry for the sobering news.
But on the positive side (and I know it might be hard to find one), you are in the best care for your situation. Keep in mind that stats are just stats and miracles do happen

Re: Had my consult with Dr. Davis at Cornell
Donna, I hate statistics. I don't think any of this is mathematical.....
Dr. Davis has helped so many women with high fsh beat the odds and achieve their miracles and you I hope are the next.
Definitely consider the immune testing because I was reviewing the "infertility cure" yesterday and Randine Lewis was also linking high FSH with immune issues.
I am sending you tons of hugs and prayers

Re: Had my consult with Dr. Davis at Cornell
Donna, Dr Davis is VERY upfront, nothing is sugar coated. He also told me 50% w/ DE last follow up.
BUT, if he told you there is a chance with your own eggs, THERE IS. He wouldn't let you go forward if there wasn't.
I agree with Michelle. You should make an appt with Dr Scher for some immune testing. I wish I did sooner!!

Re: Had my consult with Dr. Davis at Cornell
Donna I am sure this is very upsetting....I am afraid to get that same news. My FSH is very high too but like everyone is saying, numbers are just that -- numbers. Someone has to be in that 10% and it should be YOU.
The important thing is that you are seeing one of the top REs for your situation and I am sure he will do whatever possible to make this a success for you and DH.
Keep the faith - sometimes that's not only all we have, but all we need.

Re: Had my consult with Dr. Davis at Cornell
Coming off a failed IVF is heartbreaking. You are still recovering.... take your time. You had a consult with the best and he didnt say it was impossible. 10% is 10x better than 1%. And you know what statistics really mean NOTHING. My statistics were greater than 50%. I have done 2 and got 2 BFNs. If I went by stats I would have been assured a BFP. Instead I have a 0% success rate so far. See the numbers are useless.
