Had my first internal...
I had my first internal last night. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. And yes Preguntas...my doc lubed up!! There was no butt involved with the Strep B either...that was a relief...lol.
They are sending me for another sono next week to check his size again. This kid must be HUGE for them to be giving me sonos every week. At least I get to see him so often!!

Wow a nice big baby I think that great! WIth all the weight I gained he better be at least 13Lbs. My strep B was in shall we say both places!

Hmmm...I don't think there was any lube involved in my internal...no wonder it was painful! Glad to hear they stuck to the front with the Strep B. Mine did too, thankfully!

yikes glad mine didnt do that! I dont remember my internals being that bad at all in fact.
dont worry
and I had strep b just was put on iv during induction no biggie

I go for my first internal tomorrow ... however I have had them before earlier in the pregnancy so i'm not worried, they don't bother me just a little uncomfortable

My dr didn't go internal. It was a swabbing of the outside, would not even had known it if she didn't tell me.

This is horseshit. I am 100% telling my doc to lube up on Tuesday. Why the eff would he not think that was necessary? Do I look that cavernous down there?

Is there any other reason (besides the scheduled week) that Dr.'s may do internals?

My doctor starts at 36 or 37 .. I think if you feel you are contracting at all they will check to make sure you are not going into labor if it is before the 36 weeks.

yes, my dr did that at 33wks because I kept getting alot of pressure.
I've had another internal at 35 weeks, but week 36 I did not.
