had my first sono
went to the dr last night and had my first sono. i thought according to my last missed period, i was 7 weeks, but the baby shows it's only 5wks 5 days,s o the dr said i must have miscalculated. not really...but the period does love to move around a bit every few months, so who know.....he looked atthe baby and said everything looked healthy, double lined and all, but just too early to hear a heartbeat. i have to go back in two weeks to try and hear again. Has anyone else had this happen? i'm so paranoid of what can go wrong, it's like i can't even enjoy his yet, until i know everything's ok.

I had a sono at what was supposed to be 5 wks and there was hardly anything to see, then at 6wk an empty sac, 3 weeks later I saw baby and heart beat and I was really only 8w3d at the time(by lmp i should have been 9 wks). It is a rough wait but if you do have longer cycles(mine are 30-31 days) it is possible for your count to be off. Since the 8w3d sono baby has been measuring perfectly along with this timeline, not the lmp timeline.

i went back at 8 weeks and heard it
