washcloths - 1 pack should be enough (mine had 8) only used during baths hooded towels - 2 receiving blankets - 5-7 burp cloths - 5-7 onesies - 10-15 blankets - 1-2 DS was a winter baby and I only used them when we went out
I did DS laundry 1x a week

Agree with the MrsB612, however... Burp cloths depends on how much/often your baby spits up. I'd also stick to the higher end of the onesies. If you breastfeed, baby may have a lot of blowouts.

Re: had my shower
My dd is 2.5 and I still continue to go through tons of washcloths. I use two for every bath: one for face followed by privates that has no,soap on it, then another with soap for the rest of her body. Ever since she was a few weeks old, I would clean her face, neck, hands, and feet with a washcloth every night and use them sometimes after messy feedings. I personally like to have 15-20 washcloths around. I personally like washcloths for routine cleaning better than wipes when they are so little and delicate.
I also like a lot of burp cloths. For dd2, I'm registering for 18. They get stinky and you may go through a few a day.
I do laundry once weekly. If you do it more, then You'd need less.
2 towels A handful of receiving blankets (maybe 6) 1-2 blankets 2 onesies (or side snap tee-shirt) for every day, more if your kid has lots of leaky poopy diapers (so 14 for a week)

I needed like unlimited burp clothes. All my DS did was spit up. I'd recommended getting old school cloth diapers to use as spit up rags; the pretty spit up rags pretty much were useless. I never used a receiving blanket other than 2 homemade blankets.

I agree with PP try and get Dundee cloth diapers, they can be used as burping cloths also. I found the fancy ones to be a waste. These are no frills (plain white) but they are pretty big and can be used for a ton of things. In a pinch I have used a few to lay over a changing table if I'm in public. Re: onesies it's a personal opinion. I had maybe 6-8 in size 3 months bc baby grows so quickly. I already do laundry at least twice a week so it didn't bother me. DD just grew out of 3 month onesies and she's 11 weeks.
Re: receiving blankets I only held onto 2. I also like those Aden and Anais swaddles I used those more as blankets and something to lay baby on. I ask had a spring and summer baby so I didn't have any use for blankets.

Do you have a washer/dryer? How often do you plan on doing laundry?
Wash clothes, I would say about a handful should be ok. Hooded towels, also a handful. Receiving blankets, I would personally keep them all. You'd be surprised how many you use. And if baby spits up you'll be going through 4-5 a day. Same for burp clothes. Depends how many onesies you got and in what size. LO was in newborn for a month but had reflux so he wore the ENTIRE draw that was full tot he max! Also, even if a winter baby you'll be putting onsies on under the outfit you put LO in.
Blankets, I only use about 3.
