Had my shower this weekend! Funny game story and amazing diaper cake pics!
Everybody was sooooo generous!!!! I now feel prepared (a little) for the baby. I had nightmares about being sent home from the hospital and having nothing for the baby.
I have to say there were two surprise hits at the shower. We played a game where our moms did 'Which baby did.....' and guests would have to guess whether a baby story was me or DH. They thought they'd embarrass us. But we decided (as a surprise) to also play 'Which mom did......' We came up with really embarrassing stories. Everyone was rolling on the floor. I highly recommend playing it. Another game was guess the melted candy bar in the diaper. It's funny to see people smelling a 'dirty' diaper.
I also left out a few onesies for people to decorate any way they wanted with fabric paint. This way the baby had unique things made just for him.
The major surprise came from a University of Florida diaper cake that my sister made. The pictures I will post won't do it justice. It was a 5 tier cake, held together by a U of Florida baseball bat as the structure. (Which you didn't know until you started taking off the layers.) Inside each layer were more presents. Completely amazing!!!! She even shipped it all the way from Florida!  She got the talent in the family for projects. I tried getting a few pics inside a few layers.
