Had my son!! Two super silly questions about Flintstone feet and surgical tape :)
Michael Anthony was born via c-section on Monday, September 19th at 10:11am. He was 8lbs 6oz and 22.5 inches long! He is beautiful and looks just like his big brother!
Now for my two silly questions... Once again I have super sized Flintstone feet from the IV... Other than keeping my legs up, and walking around, is there any way to get the swelling down faster??
I have residue from the surgical tape (IV, bandages, etc) all over... and no matter how much soap, water and scrubbing I do I can't get it all off. Any tips or hints??

Congrats!
Rubbing alcohol will take off the residue!
I don't know about the swelling. Congrats again

Rubbing alcohol or even nail polish remover may help from the tape.
For swelling, drink plenty of fluids to help flush your system and keep feet elevated.
eta- Congratulations!!

I had Shrek feet legs and Cankles after my C-section..You couldnt even tell I had Knees!! It took over a week for mine to go away. I drank lots of Fluids and walked everyday around the block. I couldnt even wear Uggs because my feet were so huge!!

Baby oil or olive oil. Let it soak in a bit and scrap it away. Just like getting rid of a price tag.
Congrats on the new addition!!!

Baby oil for the tape residue!!!! put it on a cottonball and let it sit on the residue and it will wipe right off!

i used the alcohol wipes for the surgical tape.
As for the swelling- walking, keeping your feet up and drinking lots of water.

OB told me it could take 3 weeks. Mine were pretty normal after a week

Congratulations! Baby oil or nail polish remover will remove the tape! Flex and point your feet throughout the day to get the fluid moving away from your ankles.
