Had the 2nd sonogram today...and still confused
I am still confused and wondering if I should go for a 2nd opinion.
The baby looks great...strong heartbeat and has grown in the last week 
The "other thing" looks like it could have been a 2nd sac that didnt develop. It also looks like it can be blood behind the placenta  It doesnt looks like a normal clot...that is what is throwing them off. This "area" looks is a large area. The dr. said the baby looks good so to come back in a sono in a few weeks and we will see where we are.
I am nervous and confused at the same time. If it was a 2nd sac that didn't develop, I can understand that. But they think it could possibly be a pool of blood behind or next to my placenta but dont seem concerned at all The dr. told me if I start bleeding to call right away. They didnt say if it was a hematoma or blood clot or anything more specific. Does anyone have experience with this?
ETA: The placenta wall is nice and thick and the whatever the other area is, is not affecting the baby at all or leaking into the placenta. I guess maybe that is why they aren't concerned. I guess I was just expecting a definitive answer.

Im sorry, no experience with.. But if I felt the doctor didnt give me answers to my questions and left me confused, I would look into a second opinion.

It sounds like it could be a clot.
The area I circled is my blood clot. Does it look like this? (The picture isn't too clear- my other sono shows it better but I don't have that one here.)

YES!!! It looks very much like that. not a small circle, but a larger area almost the same size as the sac. I did a search on here for other girls who had this and from what I gather they are all considered high risk and being monitored. My OB told me to make an appt. for a sono in 4 weeks for the ultrascreen and she'll talk to me than I have NO history of a clotting disorder or blood disorder and did NOT have this problem when carrying my son.
I am definetely going for a 2nd opinion. I heard Dr. Kofinas in Garden City is excellent.
What did your dr's do for the clot?

I am on baby aspirin for now. I am considered high risk and am being monitored every 2 weeks right now.
I was also told to keep my activities down to a minimum. No lifting heavy objects, etc.
Part of my placenta has been rendered useless because of this clot already. If it gets bigger, it could take over and kill the baby. I haven't bled in 2 weeks except for some brown spotting, so they think I will be fine. I am expected to have dark spotting, as that is the clot coming out.
I don't mean to scare you- but yes, you should DEFINATELY go for a second opinion.
