Had to bring Lily to the ER last night...
...and I hope to God I never have to do that ever again.
We're thinking she just had horrible gas pains, but she was crying for HOURS....screaming crying and woudln't stop. Then she refused to eat anything. It was so unlike her - so we called the doctor. And she told us to bring her to the ER.
They couldn't find anything wrong with her, so they had to check for an infection and would up giving her a catheter to get urine, and sticking her with about a thousand needles to get blood. Then she was dehydrated from not eating, so they gave her soem fluids through an IV. My poor little girl was so upset. She finally stopped screaming and was just wimpering....so difficult to watch her go through it all.
She's been sleeping since about 1am though...through one bottle and two diaper changes.
We're bringing her in to see the doctor this morning. I'm going to ask if we shoudl switch her formula. I think it might be making her gassy.
I had no idea I could love anyone this much in only 3 months....it lilterally broke my heart to see her in so much pain and so helpless. I still can't stop crying when I think about it.

I've been there too, Julia had to stay in the hospital for 4 days when she had the phenmonia, it was horrible to see her go through all of that!
I'm glad your DD is home now and feeling better!!

Christopher had horrible gas issues til we switched to Gentlease.

Poor Lily - and really poor Mommy!!!! I hope she is feeling better today! 
ETA: I just read that I wrote the exact same things as Kate without even reading hers.
All moms think alike - it's harder on the moms to watch I think!

I know how tough that is...seeing your child in pain is the worst feeling in the world Hope Lily feels better soon and you get answers on what was wrong

Thanks for the hugs everyone!
The doctor doesn't think we should switch formulas just yet. She thinks it might have just been a bad episode with gas, but since she drank a bottle this morning with no problems, it may have just been a bad day. And honestly, in her 3 months of life, she's only had one really bad day, so I think that's pretty good.
So we're going to stick with what we've been doing and see how she does. She's sleeping now....and has been for most of the day so far. Poor thing was awake most of yesterday...crying and wimpering...
And now I know, next time she's fussy....we'll try to take care of it home before we bring her back to the hospital where they can scare us with talk of a spinal tap!

Its horrible to see them in pain or upset. We had our first overnight in the hospital at 2 weeks old and it broke my heart. I still cry thinking about it too

aww i'm so sorry she had to go though this.
That is so sad i'm crying just reading it.
Her poor little body. I hate seeing them get poked etc.
