Hair color question

I have been coloring my hair myself since 16...a variety of colors which has not always been the best but hey, teenage rebellion ya know?

So anyway, I'm fed up with doing it myself and looking at my multi-tonal hair and made an appointment for professional coloring today

Since Ive never gone before- what do I need to know?

How long will it take about (shoulder length hair?)

DO I need to tell her what color I want or will she evaluate what's best for my skin tone?

I want to dye it as close to my natural color so I can grow it out nicely before TTC

Any help will calm my nerves

Well what color is your hair now and what color are you trying to match? It could need a filler, a double process, etc. Leave yourself 1-2 hours. You said "do I need to tell her what color or will she match my skin tone". Are you trying to do your natural color or something else. Do you already have someone you trust and are going to?
