Hair cut/blow in Bayside
Any recommendations in the area? Just looking for a trim and nice blow out, not looking to spend more the $50 or so.

I go to Salon Z on Bell. Christine just cut my hair and did a great job but it's more then $50. I got color also so I don't know the breakdown.

Christie & Co. in Bay Terrace has EXCELLENT stylists, a simple cut runs from $45-$55 depending on who cuts it.
Beware though their reception desk is like a coven of witches IMHO

My MIL goes there and raves about it. DH gets her gift cards all the time to the salon because she goes so often.

One of the main reasons I stopped going there years ago. The owner and the people at the front desk are some of the rudest people I have encountered.
Plus I remember speaking to a hairdresser at the time that said they were treated horribly by the owner of the salon.
It's well known in the area that the owner is a royal biotch.

Completely agree.
Used to go to Studio Z when it was on 35th Ave. Just remember it being a little $$$
Just started going to Intercession. Def not the same ambiance...but the work is good.

I used to go there when I lived in Bayside. Always got a great haircut no matter who did it but when my fav stylist quit they kept lying to me and telling me she was sick!
Never went back!
