hair dying advice....
my natural hair color is a dirty blonde... i've been dying it VERY light blonde for about 2-3 years now... the last color i had was almost platinum blonde
i decided to go brunette about a month ago... dyed it medium brown. my friend dyes my hair out of the box & she had said to me that it was going to be hard to not have my blonde hair come through eventually since it was SO blonde before.
i bought color depositing shampoo which i washed my hair with every other shampoo and i also bought pantene pro-v shampoo for color treated hair... i feel like it still lighted up SO SO SO much!!!! i mean, i knew it was going to lighten up, but it pretty much looks like i dyed my hair brown and got highlights... i really just want my hair totally dark brown.
my friend is dying my hair again tomorrow... i'm going a shade darker. anyone have any good advice on how to keep the color in longer? i feel like maybe there is something i'm not doing to keep the color in
TIA

Re: hair dying advice....
i would use redken's shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair. i find pantene to be harsh. that may help. also, i know my friend who dyes her hair does so about every four to six weeks because it washes out, and she has naturally dark hair to begin with.
good luck!

Re: hair dying advice....
I have dirty blonde hair and went very blonde like you.
Covering the blonde was a nightmare...it always came back. No matter what I did. You just have to re-do it every 4 weeks or so.
I think i'm going very blonde again...just easier
