hair gel for curly hair
I have med length curly hair. I usually blow dry it but it is such a pain in the summer. I like the look of my curls when they are wet but they dry frizzy. I tried gel but it leaves it so stiff. Any recommendations on a good strong gel that hold and isn't hard when it drys?

Re: hair gel for curly hair
Try Redken Ringlet Curl Perfector. If you go to Ulta you can try a small sized one... I do that a lot since it's hard to find a product you like for curls- everyone's curls are so different.
I find it works well though....

I use the Herbal Essence mouse for curl activating. I also like Fredrich Fekki's(?) curl cream

Re: hair gel for curly hair
pink la looks for pool days or the park so I am not wasting money on a regular day.
Also, aussie gel or herbal essance orange mouuse.
for great hair days, I use sebastion Wet. a ton of it, diffuse, then a mouse on the ends.

I also mix gel with some kind of cream...it softens the crunch a bit.

Re: hair gel for curly hair
I use Sunsilk Leave in Creame first, it's Anti-Frizz and in a green bottle...
Followed by Loreal Mega Gel, it's in a black bottle.
I've used the Loreal for YEARS and have tried a lot else and don't like any of them.

When my hair was curly I used Paul Mitchel medium hold gel (it has a green apple on the bottle). No matter how much gel you would use it never got stiff.

Re: hair gel for curly hair
I have used Queen Helene Sculpturing Gel - Clear...doesn't leave it too hard...
but my stylist told me that gel is not good for my hair so she suggested Mousse (I use TreSemme Curl Enhancing and add some hair serum after styling.
I was told lately not to even use that since my hair is falling out after pregnancy...so I was told to just use leave in conditioner.
You can see how curly my hair in my album

I like the John Frieda Frizz Ease serum (purple pump bottle) and the Frizz Ease mousse. I looove the Tresemme (sp?) Anti Sponge shampoo and conditioner-works so well on my hair.
