Re: Hair Mask/Conditioner for frizzy, dry hair
If you want to go high end Living Proof Restore line is very good. Or Virtue Labs Restorative Treatment Mask.
But I recently found something at Target that has been incredible for my dead ends and overall damage/dryness since I need a haircut so badly. It's calledThe Good Stuff Intensive Nourishment Cream No-rinse Conditioner. It's a leave in treatment. This detangles my hair so easily even though it's a rat's nest right now and leaves it soft, silky and healthy. And it's $7.99!!

Thank you - I'll try the cheap stuff first. LOL The Good Stuff one was 6.75 on Amazon.

Re: Hair Mask/Conditioner for frizzy, dry hair
I have been using It's a 10 Miracle Leave In Product, which has worked well, but not great. And it's on the expensive side. I recently received a sample of this (I think in a magazine) and tried it for the first time yesterday. I am not usually a fan of this brand, but I have to say, it really left my hair soft and shiny. I will most likely buy a full size bottle now. I really like it!

Re: Hair Mask/Conditioner for frizzy, dry hair
i have very dry, curly hair... and i color it.
i know that my reply doesn't exactly answer your question, but it's worth sharing...
since i went "natural" with the curly girl method, i find that my hair is no where near as dry. it's very healthy and soft. the products i use are much less elaborate... for example: a good deep conditioner is my regular conditioner with olive oil mixed into it.
i still color my hair!! ain't gettin' rid of the red any time soon. and my hair is the healthiest it's ever been.
maybe you're not "curly," but it might be something to look into.

Re: Hair Mask/Conditioner for frizzy, dry hair
Another thing I can suggest- since the PP mentioned the curly girl method- is to wash your hair as little as possible. You can wet it daily if you need to do that to re-style it, you can even condition daily if need be- but shampoo is soooo drying for your hair. If you don't have oily hair, try to cut your washing down to twice a week at most. I can go a full week without washing my hair- because it's so dry and dead- and during this lockdown trust me I have- and when I do it feels so much healthier when I go to wash it. Shampoo is just really bad for your hair.

Hair Mask/Conditioner for frizzy, dry hair
Thanks everyone.
I only wash twice a week, have for the longest time. I dont blowdry or flat iron. I color once a month, but I was getting brazilian blowout once every 4 or 5 months and it would keep it under control. But now its a mess.

Re: Hair Mask/Conditioner for frizzy, dry hair
Coconut oil masks. Any coconut oil will do. I melt it in my hands and put all through my hair (not at roots) put in a bun and do some housework. I try to leave it in at least an hour then wash and condition as usual. I find it really helps ease the dry/frizziness of my hair.
Also when I wash my hair, after I’m done I put a little bit of a deep conditioner in my ends and leave it in there. That helps too
