Haircoloring Virgin witha few questions.

I'm chopping off all of my hair and I was thinking of getting it colored. When we had a pool I was outside al the time and my hair was much lighter with blonde and red natural highlights, now my hair is almost black. I want to go lighter, but I want it to be a one time thing, I don't want to keep dying, and I don't want gross roots. Is there any way to avoid this, or am I asking for the impossible? What do you do when you want to go back to your natural color>

Impossible...once you change your color or add highlights, you have to constantly keep it going. It really is a pain in the butt...that's why I went back to my original color...or what I think is close to it...I can't remember, it's been a long time!Chat Icon

Re: Haircoloring Virgin witha few questions.

I did semi permanent and LOVED it, but that was when I was lighter wanting to go dark.

Maybe I can get a shade cose enough to my natural colour so it looks like it could be natural sun highlights and then each time do my roots a little bit closer to my natural color and phase it out that way? Or maybe hair coloring is just not for me!

You could do that...

I do semi permenant all the time now...I still see my old blonde highlights come through from time to time...especially if I'm in the sun.

I've been practically every color....blonde...black hair, brunette...
