Half bath in master bedroom and other paint question....
Is the color scheme supposted to match from the bedroom to the bathroom or should it be a different color?
Is that a stupid question...??

I don't think that they should fight eachother....but i don't think that they have to match.
they should coordinate. Maybe pull one color from the bedroom and use that in the bathroom.

Re: Half bath in master bedroom
Well, this is the theme of my bedroom...lots of reds...velvet cranberry curtains...accent lamps..
My next question...what color would you do on the bedroom wall and the bathroom to tie everything together? Gray is not an option...I've had it up to here with gray...
This is not our new bedroom...this is our co-op...just posting pics for theme example... Image Attachment(s):

Re: Half bath in master bedroom
A coffe color would look nice-anything in the beige, light brown family. You could do a decorative paint treatment with some glazing in a metallic color.

Re: Half bath in master bedroom
Is there a pattern in your comforter? Can you pull a color from there?
It depends on if you want to make it really dark or lighten up with a subtle beige on the walls.
You could paint the both rooms beige and then put accessories in the bath that are neutral or a dark color from the comforter.
Or you could keep the bedroom beige and pain the bathroom a dark red.
A dark plum looks good with red. I would say if you are stuck with colors look around for patterned throw pillows that go with your bedding. You can buy a couple, throw them on the bed to see what you like. And then work with the colors you find in the pillows.
There are a million options....
Now that is see your bedding, I would paint your room red. or if you don't want to go dark, I would paint it a light gold. Not the same color that is in the comforter, one that is a couple of shades lighter.
And paint the bathroom the darker gold color.

taking colors out of your bedspread, I would go with a gold or tan color. We used Chestertown Buff in our bedroom...I love the color especially with the deep reds...Our master bath is goldish with brown highlights but all tiles....Here is a picture

Re: Half bath in master bedroom and other paint question....
I'm planning on painting our master bathroom 2 shades from the color of our bedroom. If it were me, I would start with the color I want in the bedroom (to go with your bedding I like the idea of golds/bronzes) and then look at the colors of chips on the same paint strips.
Eg. Our bedroom is BM Philadelphia Cream, so I'm either going with Shelburne Buff or Waterbury Cream.
