Re: HALLOWEEN
If she's walking or just to stroll her around to a few neighbors and/or if you have family in the area. We took DS1 trick or treating when he was 5 months, but we went with my nieces and nephews. I actually wore him in the bjorn.
When they were little it was with friends or family and only a few houses.

HALLOWEEN
I wanted to take my 1 year old DS last year, but with the hurricane and everything we decided not to. if not for that, i probably would have just brought him to a few houses on the block. or maybe you have some friends that you could walk him around with in another neighborhood too.

Tiny Tot will be 15 months on Halloween.
I think I will take her to a few of the neighboors I'm friendly with and call it a day.
I hope they do something cute at her DC

HALLOWEEN
I took DS out when he was 10 months to some of the neighbors to show him off in his costume.
With the crazy weather the past couple of years, he hasnt' been out since (we're in Rockland and lost power for 6 days after the big snow storm the year before Sandy...)

Re: HALLOWEEN
I did with DD (DS was 2 at the time). I did not with DS (he's the older one).
Neither eat the candy. We actually just went to say "hi" to our neighbors and let our DS pick one PIECE of candy (which he didn't get to eat).
Last year was post-Sandy, so we went to VERY few houses.

Re: HALLOWEEN
DS was 5 months for his first Halloween so we just went around to a few houses with my nieces and nephews. He mostly stayed in the stroller though.
Last year we had planned to just go down the side street that our house in on the corner of, but with Sandy we just didn't bother.
This year will be his first real Halloween although we are still not planning on going to too many houses b/c I'm having DS2 on Oct 15.

HALLOWEEN
i guess i'm in the minority because we're planning on taking DS all over the neighborhood (he'll be 1 year + 1 week old and obviously not eating any of his winnings)

I didn't- seemed a waste. I had her in her costume and she helped give out candy.

HALLOWEEN
Dd will turn 1 in Oct. and we'll probably just take her to the neighbors and nearby family. I would feel silly going door to door with her since obviously she doesn't care about candy. But sometimes my niece and nephews trick or treat in my neighborhood when they come to visit us, so if they do I would probably take dd and walk with them, but I wouldn't collect candy for her.

HALLOWEEN
DD's first Halloween she was almost 8 months old. I dressed her up and took her around with her older cousins. I didn't bring her up to the doors but her cousin would ask the people if she could have an extra piece of candy for her cousin and would point over at my DD. It was really cute.
I was really looking forward to taking her around last year but Sandy ruined that. Hopefully this year will be better.

Re: HALLOWEEN
I took my twins out for their first Halloween at 10 months. They sat in the stroller. I went to a strip of stores. dH and I only took candy from a few places since it was obviously for us to eat.

HALLOWEEN
No. This year is our first year going, DS is 2.5. I wasn't going to feed him the candy, and I didn't want it in the house for me & DH to eat. This year I will let him have a piece a day for a week or so, and then chuck the rest. We did dress him up last year and the year before though, I held him while I answered the door and gave out candy.

Re: HALLOWEEN
dd will be a week shy of 1 year and i'm up in the air. I have a close friend in the neighborhood with a son the same age, plus a 5 year old - so I may tag along with them. otherwise I might just take her to a couple of neighbors on my block and on my parent's block. I gotta show her off!!
